Summer courses at CCFS promote the acquisition of new linguistic foundations, including an in-depth exploration of grammar, vocabulary, and conjugation. These courses provide a solid foundation, allowing students to express themselves confidently orally and in writing. Summer courses are also designed to reinforce and perfect existing language skills. Students have the opportunity to work on the five essential language skills: speaking, understanding, reading, writing, and interacting. General and intensive French courses place a strong emphasis on improving oral and written comprehension. Students practice listening to a variety of French content, from conversations to authentic audio recordings. Similarly, reading diverse texts helps refine their written comprehension. The goal is to make students more comfortable communicating in French. Summer courses aim to strengthen students’ ability to express themselves fluently in French through conversation practice, discussions on various topics, and writing texts. Students learn to express themselves coherently and convey their ideas with ease. In addition to linguistic aspects, the summer courses offered by CCFS allow students to explore topics related to French culture and society. Students discover the richness of French cultural heritage, from traditions to the arts, including history. In addition, these courses address topics relevant to higher education, which is particularly beneficial for international students preparing for their future studies in France.

Monthly summer courses are therefore a valuable opportunity for learners of all levels. They offer a solid foundation for beginners and strengthen the skills of intermediate and advanced students. These courses are designed to improve French proficiency at all levels, both orally and in writing, while exploring French culture. For those looking to perfect their French, prepare for higher education in France, or simply have an enriching summer experience, summer French courses are an option to consider.

Program Information:

Monthly summer courses do not allow for the validation of a complete level of French.

Students wishing to deepen their written and oral skills can opt for the summer course in general French and French civilization E060 (12-week program from June to August). Depending on the level and involvement of the students, it allows for the validation of a complete level of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) in 12 weeks, at a preferential price.

Course Objectives

  • Acquire new linguistic foundations (grammar – vocabulary – conjugation) in order to be able to express oneself orally and in writing.
  • Reinforce knowledge through in-depth work on the five skills (speaking, understanding, reading, writing, interacting).
  • Improve oral and written comprehension, as well as the ability to express oneself fluently in French.
  • Introduce or deepen cultural aspects of France through French civilization lectures.
