Following the CIEP Ev@lang online placement test, students are grouped using the CEFR scale:

• A1 (beginner)
• A2 (elementary)
• B1.1 and B1.2 (intermediate)
• B2 (upper intermediate)
• C1 (proficiency 1)
• C2 (proficiency 2)

A specific test is available for phonetics lessons (applied linguistics with laboratory work), which uses several criteria (mother tongue, articulatory difficulties, etc.) to place students on the appropriate phonetics course.

Students can inform the secretariat of times when they are unavailable.

Some programmes (intensive courses lasting five hours a day, evening classes, specialist courses, etc.) with a limited number of classes offer no choice of times.

Similarly, students who register late are unable to choose.

Finally, if the student’s availability changes during the course, the secretariat will try to make alternative arrangements, but with no guarantees.

• You must be at least 18 and have completed secondary/high school.

• Registration is only definitive when full payment has been received (at least a month before the course starts)
• A registration certificate, which is needed for visa applications in particular, will be provided on receipt of a down payment and presentation of administrative documents (copy of proof of identity, translation of the school-leaving certificate and passport photograph)
• The €60 registration fee is valid for a year and can be used to register for several courses in that time
